A Class 6 student died and two of his classmates sustained injuries after the wall of a government-run residential school collapsed in Karnataka’s Ramanagara district.
According to sources, the incident took place at Morarji Desai Government School in Ramanagara district of Karnataka on Thursday.
The deceased student has been identified as Kaushik Gowda of Class 6.
According to sources, he died due to head injuries. The other injured students are undergoing treatment at the local hospital.
Responding to the incident, BJP MLA Ashwath Narayan said, “Everyone responsible should be pulled up, including government officials. An innocent life has been lost because of the poor maintenance.”
