Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae is the first Honkai: Star Rail character that derives from an existing persona. Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae is the cooler form of Dan Heng, who comes with more powerful abilities, and of course, better star ranking.
Despite being the same person, this character is separate from the normal Dan Heng, and players can even use them both at once. So it’s not the same as the Trailblazer that can change form and doesn’t demand people to level them up all over again. If having two of these DPS is something players want, then it’s important to understand Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae build in Honkai: Star Rail.

Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae Best Relics In Honkai: Star Rail
Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae uses his Basic Attack to do most of his damage, so 4pc Musketeer of Wild Wheat is an excellent option for him. However, since he’s an Imaginary character, 4pc Wastelander of Banditry Desert also works amazingly for Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae’s build.
If the enemy is debuffed, 4pc Wastelander of Banditry Desert is as good as 4pc Musketeer of Wild Wheat, but if the enemy is Imprisoned, then 4pc Wastelander is better than 4pc Musketeer. However, as Imprisonment requires the enemy to have their Imaginary weakness broken, Wastelander of Banditry Desert is usually on par or worse than Musketeer of Wild Wheat.
Rutilant Arena is the best option for the Planar Ornament as it enhances Basic Attack DMG, although it has a highly demanding condition where players must reach 70% Critical Rate. Fortunately, by unlocking Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae’s Traces, he can get a 17% Crit Rate by default, which greatly lowers the difficulty of reaching 70%. If players can’t fulfill this condition, they can opt for Space Sealing Station instead. It grants 12% ATK, and 12% more if the wearer reaches 120 SPD.
For Relic main stat, Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae clearly works best with Critical Rate or DMG/ATK/Imaginary DMG Boost/ATK. However, as he’s an undeniably Skill Point-demanding character, it’s crucial to ensure he can Ult often. Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae’s Ultimate gives him two stacks that act as a replacement of Skill Points. So instead of spending three Skill Points to enhance his Basic Attack to the maximum, players now only need to use one Skill Point and two of the stacks. Because of this mechanic, Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae’s Ultimate plays a massive role in his gameplay. This also means using Energy Regeneration Link Rope is viable if players don’t want to build a Skill Point-friendly team for their Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae.
Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae Best Light Cones In Honkai: Star Rail
Here’s a brief ranking of Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae’s best Light Cones:
- Brighter Than the Sun
- On the Fall of an Aeon
- The Unreachable Side
- Something Irreplaceable
- Nowhere To Run
- Under the Blue Sky
- Woof! Walk Time! (with Bleed/Burn)
- A Secret Vow
- The Moles Welcome You
- S5 Collapsing Sky
- S5 Shattered Home
The best option for Dan Heng IL’s Light Cone would be his signature weapon, Brighter Than the Sun. Afterward, the free Honkai: Star Rail Simulated Universe equipment, On the Fall of an Aeon, places second in the ranking. Both The Unreachable Side and Something Irreplaceable are great if the wielder is hit or consumes HP, but since that’s not Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae’s focus, it can be hard to fully utilize these two Light Cones, which places them below On the Fall of an Aeon.
For 4-star options, Nowhere To Run is a great option, but its performance at S1 is worse than the other 4-star Light Cones at higher Superimposition. For instance, if players have a S5 The Moles Welcome You, it’s better to use this Light Cone over the Battle Pass weapon. Of course, if players’ Nowhere To Run is at S3 or more, it’s easily one of the best options for Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae’s Light Cone.
